Before you start

What you'll need

  • A Yoto Player or Yoto Mini Any model works. Wi-Fi required for the first play.
  • A blank Make Your Own (MYO) card Your Yoto came with one free. More are available at yotoplay.com (around $6 for one, $25 for a 5-pack).
  • Your Quiz Jams songs downloaded MP3 files from your Quiz Jams account. If you haven't downloaded yet, sign in and grab them from your Downloads page.
  • A computer (recommended) or a phone A laptop or desktop makes uploading a bunch of songs way faster. Phone works too.
The steps

How to add Quiz Jams to your Yoto card

1

Download your Quiz Jams songs

Sign in to quizjams.com, go to your Downloads page, and download the ZIP for each set you own. Unzip it and keep the MP3 files somewhere you can find them — a folder on your desktop works great.

Tip: Rename the folder something like "Quiz Jams — Junior Set 1" so it's easy to spot when Yoto asks you to pick files.
2

Open the Yoto creator

On a computer, go to my.yotoplay.com/my-cards and sign in with the same email you use for the Yoto app.

On a phone, open the Yoto app, tap Library, then Make Your Own.

3

Create a new playlist

Tap the orange New Playlist button (or Make New Playlist in the app). Give it a name like "Quiz Jams — Junior Set 1" so you can find it later.

4

Upload your Quiz Jams MP3s

Drag the MP3 files into the playlist (or tap the upload button and pick them). You can select all the songs from a set at once. Yoto will upload them one by one — bigger sets may take a couple of minutes.

Tip: The song order on the card follows the order in the playlist. Drag tracks to rearrange if you'd like them in a specific order.
5

Save the playlist

When all songs are uploaded, tap Save (or Create). Your new playlist will show up in your Yoto library.

6

Link the playlist to your blank MYO card

Open your new playlist, tap the three-dot menu (or "Link to a Card"), then insert your blank MYO card into your Yoto Player. Confirm the pop-up on the Yoto app and you're done.

First play needs Wi-Fi. The songs download to the player the first time — after that, the card works anywhere, no internet needed.
7

Press play and enjoy

Pop the card in, and the songs will start. That's it — Scripture memory on demand, screen-free.

Common questions

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Can I put more than one Quiz Jams set on a single card?

Yes! A Yoto card can hold hours of audio. Just add every song you want into the same playlist. Or if you'd rather keep them organized, put each set on its own card.

Can I reuse an MYO card for something else later?

Yes. MYO cards are re-linkable — you can change the playlist a card points to any time you want. Nothing is permanent.

The card isn't playing — what do I do?

Make sure your Yoto Player is on Wi-Fi the first time you use the card (it needs to download the songs). If it's still not working, try removing the card, waiting a few seconds, and inserting it again. If it still won't play, unlink the playlist from the card and re-link it.

Where do I buy blank MYO cards?

Directly from Yoto at yotoplay.com. They come in packs — usually cheaper per card the more you buy. Every new Yoto Player also includes one free MYO card to get you started.

Do I have to redo this if I lose the card?

No. Your playlist stays in your Yoto account forever. If you lose or damage a card, just buy a new blank MYO card and re-link the same playlist.

I don't have my Quiz Jams songs downloaded yet.

Sign in at quizjams.com, go to your Downloads page, and grab the ZIP for each set you own. You can download them as many times as you need to.
